BACK TO THE 90's

JUMPER // VINTAGE   |   JEANS // NEWLOOK   |   BAG // H&M   |   BOOTS // MISSGUIDED

Heyy guys, look at me being regular with my blog posts, I hope I haven't jinxed it now! Blogging is my way of getting away from everyday life and having a break from doing school work (after this I have to get stuck into biology great!).

Anyway back to my outfit, I wore this jumper the other day and it brought back memories from my childhood in the 90's. I remember my mum always putting me in turtle neck tops, and I remember hating them because they made my neck itch, but I really love this one . It's a vintage piece that I kindly received from an old family friend, it's so unique and I love the fact that if I walk down the street, I wont see 10 other people with the same jumper on!

Who else has read that we're apparently having 100 days of snow this year in England? I for one am NOT happy at all. Yeaah Yeaah, snow is pretty, but it's such a pain in the ass as well! I'm really hoping that they've made a mistake or something because I'm really not feeling walking in slush for 100 days.

AUTUMN

TOP // FOREVER21   |   JEANS // ARK   |   NECKLACE  // PRIMARK   |   CUT-OUT BOOTS  //  TOPSHOP VIA NEXT2NOWT   |   BAG  // MATALAN

I have always loved basics with a passion, and this outfit is just an example of how I style my basics. I bought this beautiful box-shaped top from Forever21 as I thought it would the perfect item to dress up and dress down. I paired it with some standard blue jeans from ARK which I recently purchased in the sale for just £5 (crazy I know), and my cut out boots which quite frankly I don't wear near enough as much as I should.

This year I am really enjoying autumn, although it is getting colder and wetter, I'm really loving autumn fashion. Layering + jackets + boots = ♥

Plus who else has seen the new TLC movie CrazySexyCool ? I watched it the other day and it was such an amazing yet emotional film. To watch how they came together as a group and what happened during their lives was just so fascinating. It really brought me back in touch with the 90's as I just found that I remembered all the songs they sang throughout the movie! Its definitely a must watch!

DIY | FLORAL

SHORTS \\ DIY   |   TOP \\ MISSGUIDED

Its been a while since I've brought out my mum's sewing machine and gotten creative. I've always been too busy with school or work to even begin to think of what to make, but seeing as its now the holidays, I've got plenty of time...
(so I say... I'm beginning to realise that these summer holidays are not long enough, they're literally flying past).

Two nights ago at around 11 pm I had a little light bulb go off in my head, and I grabbed this floral fabric which I've had lying around in my room and got scissor happy. I've never actually made any type of trouser/short before because I don't own any cutting patterns and usually trousers/shorts are really hard to make, but I just went for it free hand anyway. Surprisingly they came out quite well, there are a few areas for improvement, but overall I'm pretty happy with them.

WHITE T

T-SHIRT \\ PRIMARK   |   SHORTS \\ VINTAGE LEVI   |   BELT \\ NEWLOOK   |   BOOTS \\ TOPSHOP   |   SUNGLASSES \\ H&M

I could actually live in white T's. They're so versatile, easy to wear and perfect for this mini heat wave that we've been experiencing here in England. This particular white T was bought from primark for £4 which is quite frankly a bargain. It has a zebra print all over it and it is slightly see through which I kind of love. I've been trying to refrain from wearing it everyday, although it's so slouchy and comfortable that I just can't help myself.

ORIENTAL FEELINGS

PLAYSUIT\\ H&M  |  BOOTS\\ Topshop via next2nowt  |  KIMONO\\ Ebay

How beautiful is this kimono? I love the look and feel of kimono's, they're so effortless and sleek. I also love how you can just throw a kimono on over something so simple, like a plain black playsuit, and it can just completely take your outfit to another level. I managed to get this red kimono at a steal of around £10 from Ebay, I'm still planning on buying many more in different patterns as they are perfect for those days where you know it'll be hot in the afternoon but the morning air is still a little cool.

Black&White

Shirt - H&M  |  Jeans - Newlook  |  Belt - Newlook  |  Jacket - Primark  |  Rings - Topshop + H&M  | Nail Polish - Barry M in Lychee

Remember me? I'd be surprised if you did! What have i been up to during this absence from my blog?

- I've been going to sixth form (it's major stress)
- I've been revising and doing non stop school work
- I went to Portugal for a week (nice to get out of the cold British weather)
- I've been stalking people's 'London Fashion Week' blogposts
- Reading books
- Sleeping when i can
- Buying some spring items

Not exactly the most interesting of lives, but I'm getting through it!

I find that the monochrome trend fits perfectly for me seeing as the majority of the time I'm wearing black, white or different shades of the two colours!! I'm really excited to buy some spotty tops which fit right into the trend from Topshop! While we're on the subject of Topshop, how good are their collection this season! I really just want to buy everything from in there, but I've put myself on a mini spending ban so i can buy a new camera (yay) so hopefully I won't be buying anything soon!

Anyway, I hope to post soon, and i hope you have a fantastic week ahead!
I'm praying that since its the beginning of march, hopefully the sun will show its face ASAP!

Men's Flannel

Shirt - H&M Mens  |  Jeans - Newlook  |  Leather Jacket - Primark  |  Boots - Missguided

Hey everyone, how has your week been? Happy first day of the month!!  In this outfit I'm actually wearing a men's shirt which was bought from H&M! I've noticed that I tend to prefer wearing men's clothing around the colder months, especially jumpers as they are so comfy and oversized.

I've been thinking recently that I've been blogging for a bit over a year now, and I've been making youtube videos for about 3 years now which is crazy. I've grown quite a bit over the years (not in height), but I think I want to go a step further and buy a better quality camera to improve my pictures and videos! I've started saving my money already and I'm going to put quite a few things on eBay to raise some money, but I'm not sure on what kind of camera to get! DSLR's look great and take great pictures and videos, but they are such huge things so I was thinking of getting a digital interchangeable lens camera which is compact but still has great picture quality, I'm not sure on how good the video quality is though.

It's so difficult deciding on things like this, so i might have to physically go into a store to weigh out my options. Your opinions are welcome as well, I need all the help I can get!

Midi

Jumper - H&M   |    Skirt (actually a strapless top) - Newlook   |   Necklace - Topshop   |   Socks - Topshop   |   Boots - Missguided

Now I'm sure that pretty much everybody knows about the whole midi skirt trend that's been going round, and I have absolutely loved this trend since its started! It makes outfits look really classy, and there is something really sexy about the body con midi dress/skirt! Even though I love this trend I still don't actually own anything midi, I was so close to buying the topshop midi skirt, but something stopped me from buying it!

In these pictures my midi skirt is actually a boob tube top which I bought from Newlook a while a go. it makes such a great substitute for the actual midi skirt, but unfortunately I can't wear it out as it has a burn on it :(, So I guess I'm going to have to buy this one.

Orange & Braids

Top - H&M  ,  Jeans - Newlook  ,  Jacket - Primark  ,  Shoes - Newlook  , Necklace  -  Oasap  ,  Scarf  -  ??

Hey Guys, so this is officially my first outfit post of the new year! I know it could be better, but I found it so difficult to take decent pictures so I've only got these two lonely ones up there, not that they've been edited particularly well either. My gosh things just don't seem to be going well.

This is one of the many simple outfits I wear to Sixth form, its comfortable (which is a must in my book), warm (ish) and just practical! I absolutely adore the colour of this scarf, it really adds a pop of colour to outfits as you can see  , and its quite different to the tartan scarf which everybody seems to be wearing these days!

Also if you haven't already noticed, I've got my braids back in! It feels soo weird seeing as I haven't had them done for a looooong time, but I've missed having them in! It makes getting ready in the morning a lot quicker as there isn't any hair brushing and what not!

Hope everybody is well? Good luck to anyone who is having exams!!

Winter Knits

Jumper - H&M  , Leather Jacket - Primark  ,  Jeans - H&M  ,  Bag - Select  ,  Boots - boohoo.com

I LOVE jumpers, I've literally been living in jumpers for the past two weeks seeing as its been getting colder and windier! They are just so easy to wear, and I have some oversized ones which are perfect for snuggling in after a day at work. I bought this cable knit style jumper around 2 weeks ago from H&M for a mere £14 which I think is amazing considering that the quality is top notch, I would have expected it to be around the £20 mark so you must imagine how happy I was when I saw the label!

My clothing always gets darker and deeper in colour around this time of the year, usually I absolutely despise it because I hate looking like a blob of black walking down the street, but this year I've really been embracing the darker colours, the other day I even wore a black on black outfit which I thought looked rather nice!

That's enough of my rambling I've got to get back to my chemistry homework!
I hope everyone has had a great day

Check and Fur

T-shirt - Matalan,  Check Shirt - ???,  Jeans - Newlook,  Belt - Matalan,   Fur Collar - Ebay,   Bag - Select,  Boots - Boohoo.com ,  Watch - Argos

The fur collar and studded boots make another appearance!! If i could be in a relationships with items it would literally be these two items!! I just cannot stop wearing them.

The other day I ruffled around in my wardrobe and I found this check shirt again, it originally had ruffles down the side of the buttons but I just hacked them away with some scissors and kapeesh a nice checked shirt!! I absolutely love the way checked shirts look, they add a really nice grungy look to outfits! I've actually been trying to find a nice looking checked shirt in the shops recently, just a plain red or greeny one, but everything seems to have studs on them and I just don't want that! Ebay is my best bet at the moment.

The other day I spent the night tweaking my blog a little to make it look slightly more sharper and better to look at.  I never seem to be satisfied with the way my blog looks, but it doesn't matter because I love messing around with titles and layouts etc. I've also decided to make a twitter and an email specifically for this blog, so i have to set all of that up!
Blogging is seriously so much fun when I've got ideas in my head!

OOTD | Layering

T-shirt - H&M,  Jeans - Newlook,  Leather Jacket - Primark,  Fur Collar - Ebay,  Gold Chain - Topshop,  Watch - Argos,  Bag - Select,  Boots - Boohoo.com

Lately seeing as it's been getting colder I've been layering a lot more, and I really enjoy doing it as well! It used to literally be a chore to layer before, but now I seriously cannot get enough of pairing different textures together and layering up my clothes. This outfit is an example of that; I've incorporated leather, suede, fur and cotton.

I'm literally obsessed with my fur collar, it's literally attached to me at all times (I tell a lie, it's not round my neck rn hehe), but its so warm and comfy and so far its protected me from the wind very well!

I'm really loving this oxblood colour atm as well! I bought this t-shirt and a cable knit jumper in the same colour all at once on Saturday, it's just the perfect autumn colour and its an easy way of adding colour into an outfit.

I'm off now to go finish some more school work, edit a video and get ready for work tomorrow! I wish I had something exciting and cool to look forward to but meh :(
